Morning Encouragement
He is God in Every Season
Encouragement from Psalms 104
Good morning,
This morning, as I read Psalms 104, a thought crossed my mind and that is, God is always with us every season and stage of our life. This, to me, was revolutionary because, it implies that no matter where we go, he is always present (Psalms 139:8). in our youth, we see ourselves on top of the mountain never knowing just how close to the edge we really are. In our middle ages, we begin to question the paths we have taken and wonder “Is this all that life has in store for me”. In our advanced age, our thoughts turn to our legacy; that is, “what will I be leaving behind”. When life is at its best, we take no thought for the future. When life turns sour, we seek God. In all of this, God is always present speaking in the same still small voice (1 Kings 19:13) encouraging us to hold on till the storm passes. The God we serve is much more than “the man upstairs” or, “the big man”. He is from all eternity so, he knows every person on this planet much more then we could possibly comprehend. God never changes at any time or in any season; so, we can rely on his word and trust that no matter what we are facing past, present, or future, he is more than able to meet and exceed our needs. My encouragement for you today is to recount what God has done in your life past and present, what trials you have faced and how his word breathed life into your day. May the very best God have to offer flow in and through your life.
Let the glory of the Lord endure forever; Let the Lord be glad in His works He looks at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they smoke. [ will sing to the Lord [as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. Let my meditation be pleasing to Him. As for me, I shall be glad in the Lord. (Psalms 104:31-34 NASB).
Father,
You reign for all eternity. You have seen the rise and fall of countless kingdoms, nations, and dynasties so, you know what will occur in every situation. In our world, seasons change, we are young and then we are old, we are born, and we die. As humans are, we build or invent idols that we think will save us like, our jobs, talents, abilities, and possessions only to find they let us down in the changing seasons of our life. How it must break your heart to see your creation trying to make a go of life without one time acknowledging you. Help us today, Father, as we go through changes to cling to your hand in all that we do.
Yours in His Name
Mike
