With my voice I cry out to the LORD;
with my voice, I plead for mercy to the LORD.
I pour out my complaint before him;
I tell my trouble before him.
When my spirit faints within me,
you know my way!
On the path where I walk
they have hidden a trap for me.
Look to the right and see:
there is none who takes notice of me;
no refuge remains to me;
no one cares for my soul. Psalms 142:1-4
When we are in distress and life has turned sour, it is very easy for the minion to convince us that we are alone. David was alone and on the run from Saul. As long as we are alone, we are vulnerable to attack. When we refuse to believe the lie and that our eyes be open to seeing G-d’s spirit at work in our life, our faith grows and we overcome our fear like in the case of Elisha and his servant. The fears that grip us and the nation at large are but the mere movement of the hand of G-d if we will but grab hold of his hand.
There is nothing you cannot do if we will but trust you and refuse to give in to fear. Our world is in trouble and the effects of sin have eroded the foundation of our nation but it is never too late to put our trust in you. As we look forward to Easter Sunday in the coming week may this be the time we get things right with you. I pray in earnest for my nation that you will raise up leaders who have a desire to see the nation put back on a solid foundation financially and ethically. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that they continue to resolve their differences without being forced to give up everything they have worked so hard for. I pray for my families and friends that you will watch over these wonderful people. I especially pray for those who are enduring painful situations medically and spiritually. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
