Daily Psalm 1/27/2022

The heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all the peoples see his glory.
All worshipers of images are put to shame,
who make their boast in worthless idols;
worship him, all you gods! Psalms 97:6-7

When I look to the heavens and see all that G-d has made, everything within me praises Him. From the perspective of the heavens, we see that we are not all that big in fact, we are about the size of a grasshopper. Nothing in heaven or on earth is haphazardly placed except for the work that man did. The funny part is that G-d never gave an image of himself for mankind to worship. Instead, He gave us His qualities and attributes through the Holy Spirit.

Father,

You are the G-d of order and discipline. Everything that we see on earth and in the heavens was made by you. You own this world and everything in it. Because of that, I know that only you can heal the world. For thousands of years, mankind has walked this earth and have passed away leaving only relics for future generations to see. While we are alive Lord you give us the power and authority to steward the land you have given us. Help me today to properly steward what you have given me that I may have a gift to return to you and one to leave for my children. I pray for those that are still dealing with COVID and the variants that you would send your balm in Gilead to heal them. Idols have no power to do anything more than be dust collectors. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).

Daily Psalm for 1/26/2022

I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless you
and praise your name forever and ever.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable. Psalms 145:1-3

One of the key benefits of praising the Lord is that it turns our fear, doubts, anger, emotional distress, etc.. into avenues of praise. When the Devil comes against you with fear, worry, and/or anger, turn your eyes to the Lord and say, “I praise you, Father, for _____” and fill in the blank without whatever or whoever it is you are struggling with. When you do this and make a daily habit, the Devil will cease his attempts (James 4:7). As we go through the Lenten and Easter/Passover season, may it be a time of spiritual renewal in your life.

Father,

One of the most debilitating things in life is “fear” which is why the Devil employs it so often. When I lift up my voice to you, you listen to me and accept my willing offering. Fearing anyone or anything other than you causes the two lines of faith and fear to create a blur in our mind’s eye. Praise may not make our situations “roses and sunshine” or make the consequences of sin magically dissipate but it will center our focus on you. Please help me today to pray effectively for those you have given me prayer watch over and when anger rears its ugly head please help me to turn anger into avenues of praise. Daily Psalm for 1/25/2022

O LORD, in your strength the king rejoices,
and in your salvation how greatly he exults!
You have given him his heart’s desire
and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah
For you meet him with rich blessings;
you set a crown of fine gold upon his head.
He asked life of you; you gave it to him,
length of days forever and ever.
His glory is great through your salvation;
splendor and majesty you bestow on him.
For you make him most blessed forever;
you make him glad with the joy of your presence.
For the king trusts in the LORD,
and through the steadfast love of the Almighty, he shall not be moved. Psalms 21:1-7

What are you trusting the Lord for today? When we commit our everything to the Lord, he keeps it until the day we stand before him (2 Timothy 1:12). When we honor the Lord’s commands and precepts, he will guide us to the conclusion though storms and the darts of the enemy come to challenge our commitment to the Lord.

Father,

You know everything we face, every storm that we are being confronted with, and the pains of our hearts. The world may know nothing of what is going on inside our head but you know everything about us. When the Devil comes against us and his minions poke at us, may this Psalm encourage my brothers and sisters? I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 1/23/2022

For this, I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations,
and sing to your name.
Great salvation he brings to his king
and shows steadfast love to his anointed,
to David and his offspring forever. Psalms 18:49-50

When we are faithful to the Lord in all of our dealings no matter how many mountains we face, He will deliver us. Faithfulness begins as a tiny seed and is grown each time we use it sort of like a muscle. Being faithful to the Lord not only impacts our lives but that of our families years into the future.

Father,

Help me always to keep my eyes on you in all that I do. May I always honor you with my life? Desiring your blessings will be useless without action so please help me to order my days upright before you. I desire your blessings in my life so I give my day before you. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat. Psalms 19:1-6

When I see the world around me how everything is interlinked, I cannot help but Praise the Lord G-d. He never yells before the storm “I am the Lord bow down before me” like mankind does. When the Lord speaks, he does it through the changing seasons. Every morning the sun comes up, the darkness disappears, and new life appears despite the problems of the day before. Even at my lowest point in life when I thought I could go no further, the Lord gave me a new day. In the same way, many of you are going through some dark times either by COVID or by threats of war. Be assured of this my brothers and sisters that the Lord is not through with you and still has plans for your life. The world may throw its worst at you but the Lord is greater still

Father,

Thank you for the new days of our lives. The enemy would have us to be afraid so that he can control us but when our eyes are on you, his power has no hold on us. I pray for your grace and mercy today over my nation and the world at large. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 1/21/2022

Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
like streams in the Negeb!
Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him. Psalms 126:4-6

A sheaf is a stack of hay that is tied together and laid lengthwise (Dictionary.com). As any farmer knows, crops do not just spring up every fall without once having to cultivate the earth, plant the seed, water the plants, and remove the weeds. In essence, putting in “blood, sweat, and tears” which develops pride and ownership in the farmer’s heart. In the same way with our spiritual walk, we do not become “mountains of faith” without one time putting in the work, planting the seed, watering it, and removing the weeds. “Fear can paralyze us and keep us from believing G-d and stepping out in faith. The devil loves a fearful Christian” (Billy Graham).

Father,

Thank you for the struggles now facing the nation. As much as I hate this pandemic because of the way it has affected the lives of the nation, I know that you have a plan so, please help me to remain faithful and never give up. As I write, Lord, may the words be carefully weighed and thought out so that the message encourages people in their walk. I pray for peace across this globe not the kind that comes by compromise but the one that comes by applying your love for the people of the world. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm 1/20/2022

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the LORD surrounds his people,
from this time forth and forevermore.
For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest
on the land allotted to the righteous,
lest the righteous stretch out
their hands to do wrong.
Do good, O LORD, to those who are good,
and to those who are upright in their hearts!
But those who turn aside to their crooked ways
the LORD will lead away with evildoers!
Peace be upon Israel! Psalms 125

Mountains, as you may know, are formed from earthquakes and have developed over the process called “time” (Mountains). In the same way, we are developed over the same process. The only one we can control is ourselves we have no authority over external sources that is, “what other people do with their lives”. The three main voices of the Devil are Fear,  Anger, and Depression and they scream at the top of their lungs at us (John 10:10). Fear will coerce into being afraid of what is going on in the world. Anger will get us upset when we are negatively impacted. Depression will tell us, “I am hopeless and this world will destruct”. Faith, the Still Small Voice (1 King 19:11-13), says “Be not afraid, trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:4-5).

Father,

Your greatest desire from us is that we would have peace in our life not the peace of the world but the peace that heals. I pray for those reading this post that they find encouragement for their day and their lives. I pray for those who are struggling with illnesses, financial distress, and family distress. May a word be properly spoken that will be louder than fear, doubt, and depression. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm 1/19/2022

The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty;
yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.
Who considers the power of your anger, and your wrath according to the fear of you?
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
Return, O LORD! How long? Have pity on your servants!
Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, and for as many years as we have seen evil. Psalms 90:10-15

We are each given a precious commodity, “the allowance of time”. How we spend the allowance will greatly determine how we are seen through the lens of History. Equally, when we stand before the Lord and the books of our life are opened, what will He find? Will He find that time we were given was wasted or invested? It is true that some die far too early and others, not soon enough but no matter which end of the spectrum or if you are in the middle, you are not given control over the outlay of time. we are told to spend the time wisely because once it is spent, we will not get it back or get a “mulligan”.

Father,

You have given us an allotment of time. Whether we use the time to build our families up or tear them down, encourage or discourage people, and/or spend on the wrong priorities is in our hands. Please help me to number my days that I may always remember how precious and fleeting my life is. I pray for those right now in Jesus’ name who is embroiled in the death grip of COVID that you would heal them completely. I pray for those who are lost or have had destruction in their homes and their faith is being challenged that this message would reach them. Daily Psalm for 1/18/2022

O LORD, how manifold are your works!
In wisdom have you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
Here is the sea, great and wide,
which teems with creatures innumerable,
living things both small and great.
There go the ships,
and Leviathan, which you formed to play in it. Psalms 104:24-26

When I look at the earth, the rotation of the sun, the clouds, and the habitats of the animals of the earth, I cannot help but praise the Living G-d. Nobody sat down with the animals and taught them how to live in their environment. In the same way, I think of how G-d has made my life, brought me through storms and trials, taught me through lessons of the world, and has kept me safe. I trusted the Lord and He has never failed me and nor will He never fail you.

Father,

Thank you for all that you do in my life. I may not always like everything you send my way but I know that in all things you have my best interests at heart. I know that storms do not last forever, although some feel like it, and that at the end the rainbow comes out. In all things may you find me faithful. When I feel like giving up or surrendering to the storm, may your words echo loud and clear in my heart? Daily Psalm 1/17/2022

Oh sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth!
Sing to the LORD, bless his name;
tell of his salvation always!
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;
he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Psalms 96:1-6

It is incomprehensible the evil that is done in this world in the name of the G-d we proclaim to serve and Racial Justice. Our common enemy, Satan, hates all of mankind and expresses his hatred under the guise of “it’s not me, it’s ‘them’!”; if you listen closely, you can hear his words be uttered in our school systems, on the streets, in our homes, church organizations, and the halls of Senate, Congress, and executive offices across the land. Remember this, no matter how many laws are written and/or amended, we will never end the cycle of abuse, neglect, bullying, and/or racial hatred until we, the people of the world, reach across the aisle, across racial boundaries, communities, states, and continents to find common ground. We declare the glory of G-d through obedience, faithfulness, love, and mercy.

Father,

Our world is in a tailspin of violence, hatred, bitterness, and envy; We are powerless to change this without a change of heart which is why Jesus’ message eluded Teacher Nicodemus. There are people in this world that want nothing to do with peace because, they will lose revenue, the perception of power, and/or an audience. Please help me today to apply the Balm of Gilead (Jeremiah 8:22) to our broken world. In the words of St Francis of Assisi:

Lord make Me an instrument of Your peace
Where there is hatred let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness joy.
O Divine Master grant that I may
Not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood, as to understand.
To be loved. as to love
For it’s in giving that we receive
And it’s in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it’s in dying that we are born…
To eternal life.
Amen… (Francis of Assisi)

Daily Psalm 1/16/2022

He sent from on high, he took me;
he drew me out of many waters.
He rescued me from my strong enemy
and from those who hated me,
for they were too mighty for me.
They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
but the LORD was my support.
He brought me out into a broad place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me. Psalms 18:16-19

Years back, there was a famous television Evangelist whose music, messages, and transforming counsel led millions to the Lord. The problem was, he was enticed by the lusts of his heart and it led him down the dark trail to destruction. As he layed on the ground in tears and repentance, he asked for forgiveness from the Lord and he was forgiven. The problem was, the world remembered his words and used them against him. In the end, he lost his ministry, marriage, and family. Understand this, Jesus forgives the “blood guilt” that is, the thing that keeps us from having a loving relationship with the Lord G-d. When we come back to the Father, we will start over in view of the sin. The Lord never stopped delighting in the man just as he had never given up on David nor will He give up on you.

Supplemental: For the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel has said this, “In returning [to Me] and rest you shall be saved, In quietness and confident trust is your strength.” But you were not willing, And you said, “No! We will flee on horses!” Therefore you will flee [from your enemies]! And [you said], “We will ride on swift horses!” Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift. A thousand of you will flee at the threat of one man; You will flee at the threat of five, Until you are left like a flag on the top of a mountain, And like a signal on a hill. Isaiah 30:15-17

Father,

Sin is diabolical because it takes what does not belong to it and leaves what does not belong to us. Lust and sin have been a part of this world since the beginning of time so they are well versed in making traps and springing them. For this reason, please help me to be vigilant and listen for your voice (1 Kings 19:11-13). If and when I sin, please help me to never fear to come to you and repent also, please help me to accept whatever consequences may come about as a result. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. Daily Psalm 1/15/2022

I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever;
with my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever;
in the heavens, you will establish your faithfulness.”

You have said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one;
I have sworn to David my servant:
‘I will establish your offspring forever,
and build your throne for all generations. Psalms 89:1-4

When I read this Psalm, I see a man who is “praising G-d in the storm”. Of course, praising the Lord amid struggles and difficulties is not easy to do in fact, it is easier said than done. What should define us is not “they endured storms” but “how they endured the storms. David was a man who made decisions that defied logic yet, those mistakes were not what he was known for; what he was known for was “obedience”. In the same way, when our children review our life and the words that have been spoken to us, what will we be known for?

Father,

Thank you for the storms that you direct me through. I pray that my life may be a record of your faithfulness and my obedience. Storms, troubles, pains, sorrows, and hurts are unavoidable. Yet, please help me to always keep my eyes on you, my heart open for your presence, and a desire to remain obedient at all costs. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 1/13/2022

The righteous flourish like the palm tree
and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
They are planted in the house of the LORD.
they flourish in the courts of our God.
They still bear fruit in old age.
they are ever full of sap and green,
to declare that the LORD is upright.
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Psalms 92:12-15

Palm trees, which are primarily on islands do not have a conventional structure in that they can bend with the winds. When hurricanes blow across the island the trees are not uprooted (Palm trees). Cedars of Lebanon are suited for mountainous terrains and grow in deep soil on slopes facing the sea (12-13, Cedars of Lebanon). When we are obedient to the Lord’s requests, whatever we face whether it be storms of adversity, lack of supplies, etc. it will not affect us in the same way the world is. The conventional structure of the world is predicated upon “supply and demand”. The Lord’s structure, on the other hand, is predicated upon obedience and faithfulness. The problem is, we are not always told what lays ahead of us. The reason is, He wants us to trust Him and do what He asks of us and be where He wants us to be.

Father,

Please help me to face the struggles of my life in view of your promises. I wish that life was laid out like a book with every pothole, trap, and/or banana peel right before us. The thing is if you did that I would never learn to trust because I would already know what was going to happen; although, if you did tell me, I would still mess it up like I would on an open book test.

Daily Psalm for 1/11/2022

Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning. Psalms 30:4-5

The trouble with tragedy is that it seems to linger forever. In those dark times of our life, we are encouraged by His word to “rejoice in Him”. When we refuse to cave in to despair, the Devil will lose the foothold he thinks he has on our life. Eventually, the clouds lift, and G-d’s grace shines fresh upon our life. My encouragement for those going through struggles today is, never lose hope and consider this: Have a little faith (HALF) in yourself and the Lord G-d.

Father,

I pray for those going through sickness, dealing with the death of a loved one, and/or dealing with a stressful situation. May your grace be upon them. Thank you for each person reading this post. Psalm for 1/9/2022

On the holy mountain stands the city He founded.
the LORD loves the gates of Zion
more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
Glorious things of you are spoken,
O city of God. Selah Psalms 87:1-3

The city founded on the hill was Jerusalem, the city of David. The reason the city is holy is that it was the place where the Temple would be located on Mount Moriah. The Lord dwelt in the Temple until He was pushed out by sin and then the temple became a shell of its former self. In the same way, the Lord places His Spirit in our hearts when we allow Him in. In all the world, there are powerful men and women who are feared but do not have the power of the Lord G-d operating in and through their life just like Babylon, Philistia, and Rahab. When the Spirit of the Lord fills our hearts, we will have renewed strength to face whatever challenges confront our life (Isaiah 40:31).

Father,

Glorious things are said of you! Ascribed to you are hearts that are healed, lives that are restored, and the broken are put back together again. May your Holy Spirit always find room in my heart. Help me to watch carefully over what you have graciously provided. Help me to grow up in you. I pray for those who read this post that they may grow up in you. Psalm for 1/7/2021

Good and upright is the LORD.
Therefore, he instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in what is right
and teaches the humble his way.
All the paths of the LORD are steadfast love and faithfulness,
for those who keep his covenant, and his testimonies Psalms 25:8-10

A supervisor of mine once said to me, “You need a mentor to guide you”. I took from that statement that he was offering his services. The problem I had with the man was his ethics, moral compass, and attitude in general. I did not accept his services as I would rather choose a novice supervisor than one whose moral compass was pointing in the opposite direction. The Lord, on the other hand, has His moral compass pointing in the right direction, has a strong ethical stance that has never been matched, He never violates His laws, and all that He has to say is firm in the Heavens as it is on earth. For these reasons, I can trust the Lord because people like David, Solomon, and Jesus trusted in the Father and were never left abandoned. I would encourage you today if you have never put your trust in the Lord and accepted His promise of salvation for your life that you do it and quickly.

Father,

Thank you for salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. I know that there are people who use your name to further their message but are corrupted but, I passionately believe that You, unlike them, walk according to Your word and never violate it. May you be with those who are struggling with the decision and may the words of this post bring them courage and establish them in faith in Christ Jesus. Psalm for 1/4/2021

They confronted me on the day of my calamity,
but the LORD was my support.
He brought me out into a broad place.
He rescued me because he delighted me.
The LORD dealt with me according to my righteousness.
according to the cleanness of my hands, he rewarded me. Psalms 18:18-20

When calamity finds its way to our doorstep, the first place we should go to is the Throne Room. As painful as it may be, we need to check our hearts to see if we caused the problem or where our fault may be (Psalms 139:23-24). If we have done our due diligence, and there is no fault found either in our heart or in the minds of those we hurt, we have peace with G-d (1 John 3:21-22).

Father,

Thank you for your son, Jesus, who paved the way back to you. Help me today to ever be mindful of my responsibility to my family and my world to be faithful to you in all my dealings. May what do and how I do it please you Lord. I know that no one is perfect, although I would like to exclude myself, imperfection is not a crime, it is a building block. Thank you, Lord, for the areas of my life that you are working on help me never to be discouraged when I fail or fall short of your best for my life. As 2022 begins, please help me to see beyond the darkness of the world to the light of your Kingdom. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm 12/26/2021

All glorious is the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold.
In many-colored robes, she is led to the king,
with her virgin companions following behind her.
With joy and gladness, they have led along
as they enter the palace of the king. Psalms 45:13-15

One of the most astounding things, to me anyway, is that when we come to the Lord and He has forgiven us, restored us, and restored us, we start over again with a clean slate. Consider how the young man in Luke 15:11 had wasted every penny that was given to him. When he came back to his senses and made the journey back to his home. The child said he would be glad just to be a servant in his father’s home; yet, his father put on clean clothes, a ring on his finger, and a new turban on his head. This boy came back stinking like the pigpen he slept in and was restored that, my friends, is what grace is all about.

Father,

Thank you for all that you have done in my life how you have restored me and made me whole. I know that I do not deserve this grace. When I came to you, my only words were “I can’t do it on my own” and from that point, you have directed my pathways. Thank you for not holding my past against me and for this reason, please help me to never hold things against anybody but to live in the freedom of life in Your Kingdom. Daily Psalm 12/25/2021

The law of the LORD is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the LORD is sure,
making wise the simple;
the precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the LORD is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
the fear of the LORD is clean,
enduring forever;
the rules of the LORD are true,
and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold,
even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
and drippings of the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward. Psalms 19:7-11

As this is Christmas day, I thought I would share a profound thought with you. At Jesus’ birth, it would be a time of new beginnings for the nation. The problem is, at that time just like now the worldly leadership feared they would lose their place of leadership. Because no one knew what this new king looked like so Herod commanded that every newborn male in Jerusalem be put to death. When Jesus started his ministry, the religious leaders feared that this King would lead to them getting a Pink slip so they had to make Jesus out to be a sinner and not the future king. The thing is both parties had nothing to fear. Jesus did not want an earthly kingdom and he didn’t want the religious leadership’s position, he wanted to heal the nation and restore the relationship between them and the Lord G-d. In the same way, Jesus is not after our wealth, places of power, and/or family. What he is after is our heart. When we come to the Lord we will volunteer to offer the thing that stands between us and the Lord.  My prayer for you this Christmas season is that you will draw close to the Lord and that the Spirit of the Lord G-d will rest upon each and every one of you.

Father,

Thank you for this Christmas season because it is a time of new beginnings. the 25th of December may not be the true birthdate of your son but it is a time we set aside for you. I pray for my readers that they would draw close to you and that something said on this page will encourage them in their relationship with you. I pray for those who are traveling, those who are dealing with illness, and those dealing with the death of loved ones. May you wrap your arms of mercy around them. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm 12/16/2021

“But my people did not listen to my voice;
Israel would not submit to me.
So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts,
to follow their own counsels.
Oh, that my people would listen to me,
that Israel would walk in my ways!
I would soon subdue their enemies
and turn my hand against their foes.
Those who hate the LORD would cringe toward him,
and their fate would last forever.
But he would feed you with the finest of the wheat,
and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.” Psalms 81:11-16

When we read the book of Psalms, we are usually looking for uplifting passages. The thing is, while G-d wants us to be uplifted, He also will give scathing rebukes so that we will change our ways. You see, we are really no different from the 1st century CE or the BCE denizens because we still deal with hardened hearts, closed ears, and blinded eyes. The Lord wants to bless us that, is not the problem. What is at issue is the condition of our hearts. G-d will never bless our lives when we are deep in sin or we have chosen not to listen to Him.

Father,

Above all else please help me to keep my ears and heart open to hear your Word and apply it to my life. I know that you desire great things from my life but I am the author of my destiny. I can not change my yesterdays but I can chart a new course towards your Kingdom. My desire is that in 2022 I will grow closer to you and through these writings many would be saved. I pray especially for those who are dealing with the aftermath of the hurricanes and destruction that is going on in the southern states and the midwest. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve.
