Daily Psalm for 5/1/2022

I will establish his offspring forever
and his throne as the days of the heavens.
If his children forsake my law
and do not walk according to my rules,
if they violate my statutes
and do not keep my commandments,
then I will punish their transgression with the rod
and their iniquity with stripes,
but I will not remove from him my steadfast love
or be false to my faithfulness.
I will not violate my covenant
or alter the word that went forth from my lips. Psalms 89:29-34

The reference to “offspring” does not refer to “natural born” but to those who walk in obedience to the Lord. David’s natural borns sons and grandsons would have to make a choice of which G-d or god they would serve. Living a Godly life is not the same as “talking about it.  The Word of the Lord commands us to live for the Lord in our daily walk and in doing so, His Spirit will live vicariously through us. When we are punished for disobedience, it doesn’t mean that the Lord no longer loves us but that He will have us repeat things until we pass the test consider how long it took for Israel to finally cross the Jordan River.

Father,

You allow us the privilege and responsibility to choose the pathway we will walk. Even if our paths take us to the outermost parts of the world and into the deepest pits yet, you do not take your love from us. Your desire for us is that we would walk in the paths of righteousness for your namesake. When your children fall into sin, the world cheers the breakdown of your church and we are used as poster children of why G-d does not exist. Help me today to walk in your light so that I may show the world that you are who you say you are. I pray for those who have recently lost a beloved one that you will comfort them with these words. May Your Spirit ever guide me in all that I do and say. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).

Daily Psalm for 4/28/2022

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O LORD,
and whom you teach out of your law,
to give him rest from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
For the LORD will not forsake his people;
he will not abandon his heritage;
for justice will return to the righteous,
and all the upright in heart will follow it. Psalms 94:12-15

Being disciplined by the Lord is not a punishment rather, it is like going to school. As I mentioned in many other posts, I spent the last 16 years learning from the school of the Holy Spirit. Understand this the Holy Spirit will teach providing you will learn. I encourage anybody who attends this school to have a pen, a notebook, and an uncluttered mind. I begin my mornings in prayer and end with “Holy Spirit, your student is ready to learn”. The Holy Spirit helped me to understand David, Solomon, the rest of the kings, and the prophets. I encourage everyone to attend this school and see it through no matter how much common theology and conventional thinking disagree.

Father,

Thank you for the great teacher the Holy Spirit. He has been the best teacher I have ever had. Many times I am sure He was shaking his head at my foolishness but never gave up nor lost faith in me. I pray for those who attend this school that they too will learn what you have taught me. May the information I learn to be put to good use by relaying it to the world. I pray for Ukraine and Russia who are embroiled in war. I pray for those who need a special touch from you that You will touch their lives and help them in their walk. I pray for the pastors and teachers who are enduring difficult times and having to do much with less than they need. Daily Psalm for 4/26/2022

I love you, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies Psalms 18:1-3

Joshua proposed the question “who will you serve”? As children of the Living G-d it is very easy to be lulled into a false sense of security and although confessing the Word do not obey it. There are many people in the churches across the land that confesses “I serve the Lord” but do not obey His word nor walk in obedience. Confessing that the Lord is our strength enables us to answer every challenge and every difficulty this Psalm comes alive in our souls and it becomes more than words it becomes the code of our life overflowing with abundance (John 7:38).

Father,

Your greatest desire for your children is that they would walk in obedience to You so that the world may see the difference and give glory to you. Jesus, you taught the people of Jerusalem and the surrounding cities for two years, healed many people, and fed the populace but it would take the spear of the Centurian to see that you were who you said you were. Your mission was a success not because of your gift of gab or your knowledge of the scriptures but because you walked in obedience to the Father. Help me today to walk in obedience to you in all of my ways. I may never know the people who are affected by my words but I pray that they reach even the darkest of hearts because it is for Your glory, not mine. I pray for those who are in need of a special touch from you and I am thankful for those who have been cleared of an illness. I pray over the destruction occurring in Ukraine and Russia. I know that weapons and fuel will never save the nation but only by the move of your hand. Daily Psalm for 4/24/2022

Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon;
behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush—
“This one was born there,” they say.
And of Zion, it shall be said,
“This one and that one were born in her”;
for the Most-High himself will establish her.
The LORD records as he registers the peoples,
“This one was born there.” Selah
Singers and dancers alike say,
“All my springs are in you.” Psalms 87:4-7

There is a profound difference between “knowing about G-d” and “being known by G-d”. The Devil knows about G-d that is, he has witnessed first-hand the destruction that comes from defying Him. Rahab of the Ammonites, Cush, Philistia, and Babylon was destroyed by Israel when Israel was walking in obedience to the Lord. Being known by G-d means that His Spirit is in us and working through us. When the Lord sees you, does He say “there is my son/daughter” or, does He say “there goes a possibility that is lost”? The Lord wants to bless our lives with His presence and wants to heal our brokenness. The problem is, all too often we stand with an outstretched fist thinking “I am and there is no one else besides me”. In the parable about the 10 virgins, you will notice that all 10 were waiting for the bridegroom only 5  were ready for Him by having their lamps trimmed and ready to go (Matthew 25). The question I have for you is, “Is there anything that stands between you and the Lord that will stop you from having peace in your life”?

Father,

I desire above all else that peace exists between you and me. When you look at the scrolls my prayer is that You say “there is my servant in whom I am well pleased”. There is no greater blessing that one can have than to be recognized by the King. You do not tell me, “Change the world to reflect Your laws but to live my life for you that the world will see the difference and the fruit that comes from it. I pray for my world Lord that You will watch over it and heal it today. Our world is arming for war not knowing how close to disaster it truly is. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus that they will continue to hold the world up in prayer and not lose faith in You. I pray for those who are struggling in their faith that these words would encourage them. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 4/22/2022

The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars;
the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf,
and Sirion like a young wild ox.
The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire.
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness;
the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. Psalms 29:5-8

Pride is a dangerous thing because it makes us think we are too big to fail and too strong to show weakness. Yet here are these big cedar trees that are tall and imposing yet can be brought down a woodsman’s ax. Lebanon’s total landmass is only about 41000 square miles and while it seems like a lot it is small in comparison to Assyria yet it becomes an animal bent on conquest. So, what do we say? The Lord takes down the proud and raises up another who is small in size but rich in faith. Raising up an inferior army is not to say “You are no match for this army” but to say “without the Lord at your side, you are nothing”. the Lord looks for people who are available, pliable, and humble because “nothing is impossible for the Lord”.

Father,

Nothing is impossible for you except to work with a proud heart. When we are proud, we become arrogant and begin to think we accomplished things by our power when that could not be further from the truth. Part of our problems in our world today is that we think “we accomplished all that has been done”. Our Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights did not bring about our prosperity, it was You operating in and through our lives. I pray for my nation and my world that once again you will restore the altar of righteousness. I pray for our leaders that you will help them to make wise decisions about this nation and see that without you, they are nothing. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus across all domination that they will arise as never before to bend their knees to You. I pray for our world that you will heal and restore it with the power of your right hand. It was because of the man at your right hand that this nation has been blessed and restored. I plead the blood of Jesus across my world that you will break the march to war down and help people to make wise decisions about the nation. Daily Psalm for 4/21/2022

Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.
The voice of the LORD is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the LORD, over many waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful;
the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. Psalms 29:1-4

The word “ascribe” means “attribute” or “give credit to”.  Sadly, many people credit the Lord for the misfortunes we encounter but credit our savvy ways for the successes we enjoy. Living life like this creates a conflict because success comes not from our strength but from the help of a cast of people but predominantly from the Lord. When we forget the cast that helped us and takes all of the credit, the people will leave or do poorly so that we fail. Years ago, I applied for a job and talked about my skills but left out the cast that helped me or “what really happened”. I didn’t get the job which was a good thing because I would have done poorly. In the same way when we look at our spiritual growth, when we push G-d off of the throne of our life, we will become the target of the Devil who will take the throne by force.

Father,

My strength comes from you. Thank you Holy Spirit for guiding me in these writings. I could take the credit but that would be a lie and you would turn your back on me and these writings would go kaput. I want to reach people for Your glory that they would be encouraged in their daily walk. I know that all good things come from you and that I am a progenitor of the work of others like David, Daniel, and many others. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus who are struggling in their walks my prayer is that in some small way these words would encourage them. I pray for my world that you O Lord would step in to stop the conflict that threatens the world. I pray for my family that you will be with each and every one of them wherever they may go today. Daily Psalm for 4/20/2022

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture
and the sheep of his hand.
Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,
as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
when your fathers put me to the test
and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work. Psalms 95:6-9

When the Lord first found us, we were not as we are now after His cleansing blood, we were broken, empty, and abandoned by the world system that led us. The Lord freed us from our bondage and set us a course that would take us to our inheritance. When the nation left Egypt, there were people interspersed among the tribes that had enjoyed the fruit of the land of Egypt at the expense of the nation. These people would serve to be instigators and would make Egypt seem like a veritable oasis compared to the sparse land we were traveling through. The desert terrain was not flowing wi “milk and honey” but the journey wasn’t over and the people needed to be patient and see it through. The reason the people were referred to as “Sheep” was that they would follow whatever shepherd stood up to lead them all that person would need was a Shepherd’s Staff. It is for this reason that we need the Lord and needs to listen to Him until our journey is over.

Father,

For thousands of years, you have led people, met their needs, and healed them along the way. The Devil is an instigator who tells us what we are missing because of foolishly listening to You. I know all too well that listening to Your voice is not foolishness. I pray that my Spiritual ears will always be open to hearing your voice and my Spiritual eyes are awake and waiting for you all of my life. I pray for my world today that your peace is upon us. Please help these writings to be a continual source of encouragement. My world is at War Lord and my nation is walking the course of the world’s ways. We need you today more than ever Lord. I pray for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus that you will continue to send encouragement that they remain strong against the enemy. Daily Psalm for 4/19/2022

LORD, you were favorable to your land;
you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
You forgave the iniquity of your people;
you covered all their sin. Selah
You withdrew all your wrath;
you turned from your hot anger.
Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
and put away your indignation toward us!
Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Psalms 85:1-5

When I first got saved and took all of the steps in obedience to the Lord, a light shined in my eyes and joy poured out of my heart like the river of Heidekel. The problem was that when the Lord brought me to the place of abundance, I tripped over temptation and became sinful. For over 10 years I struggled maritally, spiritually, and mentally. When I turned back to the Lord, as Peter had done, and was once again obedient to the Lord change began to occur in my life like plants that come to life after the rocks and protective covering are removed. It’s not been an easy journey and I tripped many times along the way but remained faithful to the Lord. Personal Note: I will be speaking on this expressly for the next 40 days until the Feast of First Fruits.

Father,

Sin is a blight! it destroys everything in its path and what it cannot destroy, it covers up the fruit of our previous labors. When your son died on the cross for our sins, he rebuilt the bridge between You and mankind. The Devil knows all too well that when we connect with you and are faithful there is nothing we cannot defeat so he lays hidden traps to catch us. While it is not his intention, the Devil’s traps serve a purpose and that is, to keep us humble. I know that by Your grace I am restored and that when I trip and fall I can still keep my eyes on you. I pray that you will restore our world and heal the divides that have been built up. The enemy of our soul has set out to conquer the world and he will play both sides of a war to get people to hate each other. I pray that the people of the world will open their eyes to see what he is doing and lay down their weapons of destruction and make inroads to healing. Please restore us again as You have done before. Daily Psalm 4/18/2022

I will remember the deeds of the LORD;
yes, I will remember your wonders of old.
I will ponder all your work,
and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
you have made known your might among the peoples. Psalms 77:11-14

It has been said, “Life is unfair, uncaring, and painful” (Jim Butcher, American author). If we allow our enemy’s attacks to alter our perception of the world negatively, he has already won. When we turn our pain, wounds, and scars to the Father and allow Him the opportunity to work in our life those things lose their sting because they are replaced with joy. When we meditate on His word and allow them to fill the abyss of sorrow, it will not make the situation as though it never occurred but it will provide a way forward and steal the enemy’s thunder. The reason I believe that His word combines the sinful actions of His servants, like David, is that we would grow in understanding and allow David’s pain to direct the course of our life.

Father,

Your son Jesus’ Kangeroo court and subsequent crucifixion were unfair. Listening to the jeers and taunts of those who were healed and restored was absolutely sinful. The Sanhedrin should have been punished within an inch of their lives for what they did. Yet You did none of that instead, your son was resurrected, healed, and restored. We may be powerless to change our past just as Peter was unable to go back three days earlier and tell himself “don’t be afraid to confess Jesus”. Once the moment passes, it’s too late to undo the damage but we can confess our sins and ask for forgiveness and take steps to a brighter future because of Jesus. I pray for Ukraine and Russia, China and Taiwan, and the civil war brewing in our US.  I pray for my family and those negatively impacted by COVID. Please keep our foundation stable according to Your word. Daily Psalm for 4/17/2022

Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD, strong and mighty,
the LORD, mighty in battle!
Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah Psalms 24:7-10

Happy Easter to you and your families. This Jesus who was rejected by the Jewish leaders and most of the community of Judah became the King of Glory after his resurrection. He is the one whose life, death, and resurrection forever paved the way for “Whosoever” to be saved. What are we saved from? When we live according to G-d’s laws and precepts and walk in obedience to Him, the pathway that brought us into dark places no longer has a hold on us. The Devil said you are mine, the blood that Jesus shed for our sins said “No because my blood paid for his sins ___ belongs to me”. I leave it up to you to decide today which path you will follow. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15).

Father,

Thank you for Easter! This is day is symbolic of your sacrifice on the lonely hill of Golgatha. You knew that we were powerless to earn salvation so you gave your life for us. The Devil knows this because he was a witness to what you did in the depths of Hell by freeing the slaves to sin. I pray for my family and friends that this is a joyous day for gathering. For those who are unable to be with their families i pray that they find solace in you. I pray for my world for peace the peace you give. After Jesus had succumbed to death and was buried, the Devil did a jig thinking “so much for G-d’s plan”. The Sanhedrin thought “now back to business as usual”. The disciples were at a complete loss thinking “now what will happen to us, he gave us his word he would not abandon us but, this sure looks like a broken promise”. The soldier who stuck his spear into Jesus’ side knew immediately that this was the Son of G-d. But while everybody saw the stone rolled into place the Lord was about to make his next move. I want to tell those of you who are going through immense struggles this Easter that the Lord isn’t finished with you yet. I encourage you as children of the Living G-d to keep your eyes on the Gates of Heaven because He will come through for you because you belong to the Lord G-d.

Father,

We are your children but we are also human beings and so we struggle through life. I know that there is nothing that we ask for in faith that You will not do for us. It is said in scripture that “you are god’s” that is, we belong to you and so You care and love us deeply. I pray for my world I know that you have a plan and that the struggles of this current time are nothing that the move of your mighty hand can and will not heal if we simply ask to remain obedient to you. Lord, I pray dearly for my readers that they remain encouraged and upbeat despite the rumors of war but are just the birth pains of something great coming from the Throneroom.  I pray for tomorrow Lord over my family that it will be a great feast and a wonderful time in your Spirit. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 4/15/2022

The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein,
for he has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers.
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
He will receive blessing from the LORD
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah Psalms 24:1-6

As Easter approaches, I am reminded through this Psalm about the G-d we serve. The troubles we are experiencing are nothing new to mankind. In the centuries past, present, and future the same G-d who built this world is the same G-d who holds the foundation still. Good Friday or the day Jesus was impaled on the cross was a day of immense tragedy. To the ragged bunch of disciples, “everything was wrong”. The man this group of men and women followed and served faithfully appeared now to be alone and they were afraid. It was firmly believed that the Messiah when he came would be around “forever” but 3.5 years into the ministry it appeared the wheels came off of the axel. You see, Jesus’ death was not the end of life as the disciples knew it, it was the beginning of a new road “Learning to Trust”. and “learning obedience in face of a disobedient world”.

Father,

On this special day when we stop to reflect on the tragedy of the lonely Golgatha where your son was impaled, I pray that this message encourages the people who read my posts. I know that you are Sovereign, Holy, and Just. You gave your laws and precepts so that we would learn to listen and obey. I pray for a topsy-turvy world that is bent on war not knowing the ultimate price that will be required from us. Jesus could very easily have staved off the cross with no ill effects if only he had thrown in his lot with the Sanhedrin. The problem was that Jesus knew the price tag for both directions and chose to honor you and because of his actions, I am here today as are millions upon millions of others. I pray for a world where your peace will speak louder than the threats of war. Be with my family as we share an Easter meal and maybe a joyous time.

Daily Psalm for 4/14/2022

They set a net for my steps;
my soul was bowed down.
They dug a pit in my way,
but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah
My heart is steadfast, O God,
my heart is steadfast!
I will sing and make a melody!
Awake, my glory!
Awake, O harp and lyre!
I will awake the dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth! Psalms 57:6-11

When we are obedient to the Lord in all things that are, “in and out of sight of the populace” and we honor his commands and precepts, it is said that “a wall of righteousness surrounds us”. When we are faithful in all of our houses there is no level that the Lord will not take us as we grow up in Him. Whatever we commit to the Lord He is faithful to use it and grow it. The standard in this is David who was relatively unknown in Israel because he watched over the sheep of his father’s pasture. This man came from obscurity to become Saul’s bodyguard after defeating the imposing giant Goliath. Through faithfulness, he led the armies of Israel in battle and did not seek glory for himself but to honor his master Saul. Saul became jealous of David because the Spirit that once occupied Saul’s heart was now on the runt David. The years on the run from Saul taught David many lessons about G-d’s faithfulness because David was obedient to the Lord even while in the land of the Philistines.

Father,

When we are obedient to you in all things, You are faithful and just to lead us in paths of righteousness (Psalms 23). When we commit our gifts and talents to you asking that You would lead us and grow us these two items become the foundation of our ministry. I ask you today that you will grow my ministry as I surrender it to you. I desire to reach lives for you across the globe so that people would come to know the G-d I serve. May you be pleased with what I say and how I say it. I pray for the Ukraine, Russia, China, and the world leaders who are arming up for war. These wars are the culmination of pride, arrogance, and fear. Your word speaks of “End times” and these are the end result of man’s sinful ways. I pray for the remnant that will come out of this mess and that You will guide the way for our world today. I pray for those who are on their knees in fervent prayer for our world that you will encourage them and answer our prayers. I pray for my families and readers that this Easter will be a time of renewal. Daily Psalm for 4/11/2022

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,
for in you, my soul takes refuge;
in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge,
till the storms of destruction pass by.
I cry out to God Most High,
to God who fulfills his purpose for me.
He will send from heaven and save me;
he will put to shame him who tramples on me. Selah
God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness! Psalms 57:1-3

The consequences of sin have a way of hammering home G-d’s reason for disliking sin. The world says “the Lord G-d doesn’t want you to have any fun”. That’s not it at all. The reason He doesn’t want us to sin is that it ruins our lives without considering who it hurts or what position he/she held. The Devil wants us to be miserable, empty and hurting because by all three he can control us and push us to make unwise decisions. Look what David did when Uriah didn’t comply with the King’s offer to go spend time with his wife. Undoubtedly G-d will most definitely heal our brokenness. The problem is, what our life will look like will be nothing compared to His very best for our life.

Father,

Your laws are the Fork in the Road what we do with those laws will determine the paths we will walk on. You forgive completely forgive sin and you restore us from brokenness and emptiness. How many times have you forgiven me, cleaned up my wounds, and reestablished my pathways? Peter spent a long few days caught in the turmoil of his actions yet that day on the beach you met his needs and spoke gently to him. In the same way, I too have spent long sleepless nights worrying about the consequences of my actions yet, here I am still here and You still paved the way to where I am today. I pray for those who are suffering this Easter season that this is the hour of their decision that many will come back to you and many more will take the first steps to your throne of forgiveness and restoration. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that inroads will be made to heal the differences between these two Sovereign nations. I pray for those dealing with COVID 19 and various other illnesses that they will be healed according to Your Word. I pray for my family that this Easter will be a special time for us as we eagerly look forward to Spring and Summer. Daily Psalm for 4/10/2022

But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, “You are my God.”
My times are in your hand;
rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!
Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love!
O LORD, let me not be put to shame,
for I call upon you;
let the wicked be put to shame;
let them go silently to Sheol.
Let the lying lips be mute,
which speak insolently against the righteous
in pride and contempt. Psalms 31:14-18

Today is Palm Sunday the day on which Jesus arrives in Jerusalem riding a donkey -symbolic of a king. While many in Jerusalem that day would turn on him because of the presence of the Priests. The reason the people turned on him was that he was sentenced to death after receiving 40 lashes with cat-o-nine tails. Anybody who stood for Jesus became an outlaw according to the Priests and the people feared retribution from the priests. This was the reason Peter denied knowing Jesus. Today people fear standing up for their beliefs because of how they will be seen in the eyes of their friends and community. The problem is, if we deny Christ he will deny knowing us. My prayer for you today is that you will stand up and be counted for the kingdom.

Father,

The world says, “there is no G-d” and “we are gods of our destiny”. Yet these same people come to church to hear the message and be with the crowd. You let us decide which god or  G-d will rule our lives. I pray for those who are bystanders and those on the fence that today will be their hour of decision. Multitudes are in the valley of decision scared of making decisions not knowing that they have already decided which G-d or god will rule their lives. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that you will continue to work with both nations to solve the difficulties in front of them. I pray for those enduring sickness and pains that their faith remains strong and fan the flames of faith. Daily Psalm 4/9/2022

I cry to you, O LORD;
I say, “You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living.”
Attend to my cry,
for I am brought very low!
Deliver me from my persecutors,
for they are too strong for me!
Bring me out of prison,
that I may give thanks to your name!
The righteous will surround me,
for you will deal bountifully with me. Psalms 142:5-7

It is said, “A promise is only as good as the person or company making it” (Jennifer Kennedy Dean). Consider how companies put on a good face for a commercial making their product seem to be genuine. Where the rubber hits the road is the point at which the “promise” is put to the test. In the same way, we are promised that sin can be forgiven no matter the gravity (Matthew 6:12). Many people have caved into sin in their lives and have had to crawl back to the Lord to beg for his forgiveness. In the closing days of the Easter season, I submit to you that the Lord’s hand is outstretched to you no matter how bad your situation may be. Don’t listen to the words of the fork-tongued snake who tells you, “there’s no hope” because there is always hope. I pray that you find peace in your life today.

Father,

Many have come back to you beaten, broken, in pain, and deeply regretting their foolishness. You have forgiven the blood guilt of their sins and welcomed them back like the Prodigal son with clean clothing and a hug. We may not like what you have to tell us nor be sent back to those we hurt to make restitution but we can be assured that no matter where you send us, Your Spirit will go with us to help us. Those who hold us to the fire and never forgive us pay a huge price when their situation turns sour and they find themselves on the short end of the stick. I ask for your forgiveness for the times I have offended the throne and my teacher the Holy Spirit. I pray for those who will come to you on Easter Sunday to be made new again may your good Spirit work with them now. Thank you for all that you do in and through these writings that many will come to know you through them. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that you will continue to work through this situation for your glory. I pray for my families and for those going through interminable issues that they will get peace in their lives to face the struggles ahead. Daily Psalm for 4/7/2022

With my voice I cry out to the LORD;
with my voice, I plead for mercy to the LORD.
I pour out my complaint before him;
I tell my trouble before him.
When my spirit faints within me,
you know my way!
On the path where I walk
they have hidden a trap for me.
Look to the right and see:
there is none who takes notice of me;
no refuge remains to me;
no one cares for my soul. Psalms 142:1-4

When we are in distress and life has turned sour, it is very easy for the minion to convince us that we are alone. David was alone and on the run from Saul. As long as we are alone, we are vulnerable to attack. When we refuse to believe the lie and that our eyes be open to seeing G-d’s spirit at work in our life, our faith grows and we overcome our fear like in the case of Elisha and his servant. The fears that grip us and the nation at large are but the mere movement of the hand of G-d if we will but grab hold of his hand.

Father,

There is nothing you cannot do if we will but trust you and refuse to give in to fear. Our world is in trouble and the effects of sin have eroded the foundation of our nation but it is never too late to put our trust in you. As we look forward to Easter Sunday in the coming week may this be the time we get things right with you. I pray in earnest for my nation that you will raise up leaders who have a desire to see the nation put back on a solid foundation financially and ethically. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that they continue to resolve their differences without being forced to give up everything they have worked so hard for. I pray for my families and friends that you will watch over these wonderful people. I especially pray for those who are enduring painful situations medically and spiritually. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 4/5/2022

“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth”—
let Israel now say—
“Greatly have they afflicted me from my youth,
yet they have not prevailed against me.
The plowers plowed upon my back;
they made long their furrows.”
The LORD is righteous;
he has cut the cords of the wicked.
May all who hate Zion
be put to shame and turned backward! Psalms 129:1-5

Being on the short end of the stick is not wrong and nor is it always “rightly deserved”.  What we do in those times and the lessons we learn from it lead us to sin or to paths of glory to G-d. Each of us can attest to how we have been passed over for promotion, times when the funds were less than what we needed, lost a job, and/or things didn’t work out as we had expected. In those times we need to learn humility so that when we are on top again, we’ll be more inclined to help people and enjoy what we are given. If we do not remember where we came from, we’ll fall into the pit called “pride and arrogance”. Being a Christian or Jew doesn’t mean that we’ll see that pit any quicker than the non-Christian or Jew because it is a universal pit that doesn’t favor one person over another.

Father,

Thank you above all things for your son Jesus who walked this land and showed the pathway to righteousness by blazing it. He did not demand things reserved for kings, he put on a servant’s towel and ministered to the needs of his disciples. He faced numerous challenges but didn’t win all of them in fact, he lost people along the way to the cross. Yet from the gruesome cross, many millions upon millions over the last 2000 years have come to know you as Lord and Savior. Life is difficult in our world with the wars, recession, and breakdown in morals. Help me today to honor you through the rough times that when the good times come I will be thankful and walk humbly before you all of the days of my life. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that they will work through their differences and difficulties so that they come away much stronger and healthier. I pray the same for my nation, the USA, which is pressed on every side. I plead for the blood of Jesus to cover this world. I pray for your hedge of protection in this world that there will be a time of healing and restoration. I pray for my families that you will please watch over them wherever their feet may take them. Daily Psalm 4/3/2022

I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
that they may dwell with me;
he who walks in the way that is blameless
shall minister to me.
No one who practices deceit
shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
shall continue before my eyes.
Morning by morning I will destroy
all the wicked in the land,
cutting off all the evildoers
from the city of the LORD. Psalms 101:6-8

In our pilgrimage to the Kingdom of G-d, there will be troubles and trials that come to shake our faith and rattle our cages. When we allow those troubles and trials to strengthen our resolve and put them to work for us, we’ll defeat them. When we allow those things to conquer us through fear and failure, we take steps back to the pit where we came from and our life gets seriously impaired. The reason the Devil wants us to live defeated lives is that people who are victorious show the power of G-d and glorify Him by the paths He leads on. The Devil knows all too well that sin is a lie and that impairments on this earth are an illusion that has destroyed families, churches, communities, states, and nations. The Lord G-d wants you to know that there is no sin that can or will ever stand in His presence and when we allow Him to flow like the river Heidelkel in our lives. the things that held us bound will fall away.

Father,

Sin is a blight that never stops growing until the fabric is removed, cleansed, and healed. Overcoming sin took drastic steps that culminated in Jesus’ death on the cross. This “drastic step” paved the way for Saul to come to salvation and become the greatest evangelist of that time. You desire for all mankind to come to you and that is accomplished by servants like me and millions of others who have devoted their lives to you. Part of the reason many do not come to you although your hand is outstretched to them is that sin has them believing that there is no hope for them. As long as there is “no hope” death is what they seek but do not find the door to death. Lord, I pray in the time of your favor for my nation that the dark stain of sin be wiped away and the banner of the risen Christ be seen and that people come to you. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that their difficulties be dealt with and that heating can flow through Russia and Ukraine. I pray for those suffering from illnesses, pains, and sorrows that they find healing in you. I pray for my families for healing those are dealing with issues beyond their control. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 4/2/2022

I will sing of steadfast love and justice;
to you, O LORD, I will make music.
I will ponder the way that is blameless.
Oh, when will you come to me?
I will walk with integrity of heart
within my house;
I will not set before my eyes
anything that is worthless.
I hate the work of those who fall away;
it shall not cling to me.
A perverse heart shall be far from me;
I will know nothing of evil. Psalms 101:1-4

Trusting in the Lord, as I have said before, is easier said than done. When we are deep in sin and addiction holds us bound, we are laughed at, become the drunkard’s song, and are excluded even by those who got us hooked. When we turn our eyes and heart to the Lord and utter “I can’t make it without you no matter how hard I have tried”, we are ridiculed for our audacious choices. Understand this, coming to the Lord creates more conflict in our lives not less, and starts a Civil War of sorts. The minions of Hell will try to tell us “you need” and “you deserve blank”. When we take hold of the Lord’s hands and refuse the hold the Devil has on us, we’ll be successful. As we get closer to Easter and the Ressurection celebration, my prayer for you is that you will place the things that keep you from living a full and joy-filled life in Christ Jesus before the Lord that this is your 2nd chapter of Acts.

Father,

I pray for my readers that they will find joy in you beyond all doubt. I pray that this Easter season is the spark in the people’s hearts that will break the power of the enemy. As I consider my life and the choices I have made may this Easter be my 2nd Chapter of Acts as well. I pray for my nation as the war in Ukraine is spinning up that we’ll get wise leaders who will reset the course of righteousness in the nation. I pray for those who are struggling with illnesses that they will be healed and restored. I pray for those who are enduring pain and suffering due to injuries that this is their season for being healed. I pray in the time of your favor “now” that you will send this message to the far reaches of the world that it will accomplish your purposes. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve.
