Daily Psalm for 3/31/2022

hen I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will return to you.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
O God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Do good to Zion in your good pleasure;
build up the walls of Jerusalem;
then will you delight in the right sacrifices,
in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings;
then bulls will be offered on your altar. Psalms 51:13-19

Sin, while it is devastating, can also be a learning tool. You see, the part of scripture that is overlooked or not considered is that what the Lord has to say is not “mere theory” they are based on lessons learned. Of course, no one really appreciates learning from failure because it causes us to doubt our strengths. David learned a lesson from Bathsheba that he would never forget. We are the progenitors of thousands of years of life lessons. if we pay attention to the events that unfolded in David’s life we will avoid those traps no matter how compelling they may be. The Devil also has learned from the past which is why he is so clever in deceiving the children of G-d. Add to your arsenal my friends and grow strong in the Lord with a contrite heart.

Father,

The tragedy of sin is that we are led by our appetite so when we are hungry at home we’ll go in search of food in somebody else’s house. So please help me to be filled at home and find joy in your eternal presence all the days of my life. I pray for my family that you will watch over us and keep us no matter where our pathway leads us. You are the eternal G-d who for thousands of years you have led and matured great men and women for your kingdom. May your Word reside in my heart that I may not sin against you. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that you will bring this squall to an end so that both sides win. I pray especially for those who are negatively impacted by the trouble that has rocked their world. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).

Daily Psalm for 3/30/2022

Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit. Psalms 51:8-12

There is a side to sin that is often overlooked and that is, “trust”. When we take something without asking for it, what we are saying is, “I need this but I don’t believe you would give it to me or let me use it”. David had taken the wife of Uriah and in doing so broke G-d’s law. But hear what the Lord had to say “I gave you everything and if that wasn’t enough all you had to do was ask and I would have gladly given it to you” (2 Samuel 12:8-9). The Devil knows all too well how gracious the Lord G-d is but he also knows that sin takes everything and leaves an abandoned soul starving for forgiveness and hope that only comes from the Father.

Father,

Thank you for the atoning blood of your son Jesus. I pray that you will forgive this war-crazy world and break the power of the Prince of the Air over this nation and world. I know that you present the opportunities for us to pray over the mess of this world that it be healed or allow it to fall on its ears. In Ezekiel, it says to the Prophet “I looked over the banister of Heaven to see if anyone would intercede I found none so I destroyed” (Ezekiel 22:30). Lord I pray for my nation and world at large for your forgiveness and healing – please do not destroy the earth nor the people in it. I pray for the Ukraine and Russia that they will resolve their difficulties and find inroads to healing. I pray for my family that you will watch over them today and always. Daily Psalm for 3/29/2022

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Psalms 51:7-12

When we become willing partners to our demise, we rarely see it coming because sin is pleasurable for a season. The world will not bat an eye when sin is committed in fact, the world rejoices in it. The problem is, the outside world does not see the havoc our actions have caused us because they are not held accountable for our actions. David’s tet to tet with Bathsheba had been the great King’s undoing. Confessing his sin although forgiven in the Kingdom of Heaven would not stop the events that would unfold. I counsel you DO NOT cave into sin that would lead you to have to learn this painful Psalm. If you are dealing with sin in your life, let this Easter season be a New Year for you and your family.

Father,

Sin disgraces your servants. Please help me today to make wise choices about my life so that this Psalm does not become part of my lesson plan. You desire great things from us and your plans are set and ready to go when we are obedient. I pray that this Easter season is a brand new year for my readers that whatever they are dealing with they’ll come to grips with it no matter what it may cost them in this world. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that their meetings will be productive and the two sides learn from each other and find a resolution. I pray for my families and friends who are dealing with illnesses and injuries that just don’t seem to go away. May your good Spirit who is my teacher, counselor, and friend be with each and every one of you. Daily Psalm for 3/27/2022

Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!
For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you may be justified in your words
and blameless in your judgment.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Psalms 51:1-6

Our life does not end because of sin, but it is a “stopping place of sorts”. Sometimes those “stopping places” are in a prison cell either a spiritual or physical one. When we deal with our sin by confessing, repenting, and accepting whatever consequences may come as a result, a new pathway is opened for us. The pathway from sin to repentance is paved with pain, frustration, and anger. David’s family would pay dearly for his actions because of learned behaviors and a sliding scale of righteousness. I personally testify that when sin entered my heart, I dealt with the repercussions for over 10 years which was in the middle of raising our sons. Do I wish I could undo my choices? Absolutely! The problem is that focusing on the “if I only” compels us to change our focus from the present struggles and possibilities to the past failures. To move past sin’s trap, we need the Lord which is better done before committing sin but it also applies after we sin.

Father,

Sin is a tragic play because we start off healthy and alive but it tempts us and then ensnares us. you give us control over our life and part of that is making choices about the direction of our life and family. Please help me to keep a careful watch over my life choices so that my family will not have to pay the price. Thank you for getting me past the 10 years of struggle and the pathway you have paved. My past is not as important as the future before me. I know that there are many people, even some of my readers, who have been in a perpetual spiritual prison I pray that this Easter will be a new season in their life. I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that the present difficulties will be dealt with and not the type of peace guaranteed by the world. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 3/24/2022

But to the wicked God says:
“What right have you to recite my statutes
or take my covenant on your lips?
For you hate discipline,
and you cast my words behind you.
If you see a thief, you are pleased with him,
and you keep company with adulterers.
“You give your mouth free rein for evil,
and your tongue frames deceit.
You sit and speak against your brother;
you slander your own mother’s son.
These things you have done, and I have been silent;
you thought that I was one like yourself.
But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you.
“Mark this, then, you who forget God,
lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver!
The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me;
to one who orders his way rightly
I will show the salvation of God!” Psalms 50:16-23

walking with Lord is a way of life that affects all areas of your life. if it were a matter of singing the right song, saying the right thing, or memorizing a scripture, salvation would be the hottest thing on the market. As long as the Lord doesn’t go past the door to our heart, we’re willing to attend service and even drop in a nominal amount into the collection plate. When the choir sings “I surrender all” we get teary-eyed and go to the altar but that’s as far as we go. The Lord wants more from us than the nominal things, He wants to fill us and enrich our lives but as long as the junk remains there is no room for him. Forgetting about G-d implies that we have walked with the Lord but something came between us that we are just not willing to talk about maybe it’s a wound or painful spot where bitterness has cropped up. Wherever we are today, G-d wants to meet you where you are in the words of Isaiah 1:11 “come let us reason together sayeth the Lord… (Isaiah 1:11).

Father,

Please help me today to lay down everything in my life before you. I pray that you will help me through the rough spots and make more room for you. I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that you will be with them through their difficulties. Please watch over my families today and help me to encourage people through this website and my life. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 3/22/2022

Hear, O my people, and I will speak;
O Israel, I will testify against you.
I am God, your God.  Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you;
your burnt offerings are continually before me.
I will not accept a bull from your house
or goats from your folds.
For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know all the birds of the hills,
and all that moves in the field is mine.
“If I were hungry, I would not tell you,
for the world and its fullness are mine.
Do I eat the flesh of bulls
or drink the blood of goats?
Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and perform your vows to the Most High,
and call upon me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalms 50:8-15

Everything on earth belongs to the Lord and that includes us. The best gift we can ever give the Lord is the throne of our soul and open all of the doors no matter how sad or embarrassed we may be by lies behind it. Faith is not something we are born with, in fact, it is quite the opposite. Faith comes by obedience because when we do what is asked of us and see the Lord’s deliverance a seed is planted. The first seed we ever plant is “salvation” compelling us to be baptized. The type of water we pour on the seed will greatly determine if it will grow. The two types of water are obedience and doubt. When we pour out obedience, fruit grows in the same way that adding wood, oxygen, and heat to fire makes it grow in intensity. Pouring doubt on the seed will poison it and alter the fruit. The choice is up to us.

Father,

As the days of Lent pass and we eagerly look forward to Easter and celebrate your son’s resurrection, I pray that I may always be obedient to what you asked of me. I know that when I sin it breaks your heart because you want only the best for us. When I sin there is no sacrifice that will be good enough to make the pain go away even if all of the money in the world were offered. The choices we make today set the course of our life. I want the fruit of your Kingdom operating in and through this nation. I know that it is so far from your desire that the opposite side of prophecy is working in it. May this penitent heart bring you joy and please forgive this nation just as you have forgiven me. I pray for your peace over Ukraine and Russia please deal with the people according to your mercies. Daily Psalm for 3/20/2022

The Mighty One, God the LORD,
speaks and summons the earth
from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God shines forth.
Our God comes; he does not keep silence;
before him is a devouring fire,
around him a mighty tempest.
He calls to the heavens above
and to the earth, that he may judge his people:
“Gather to me my faithful ones,
who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!”
The heavens declare his righteousness,
for God himself is judge! Selah Psalms 50:1-6

When the Lord summons people, He is speaking to “whosoever has an ear to hear”. Each of us has a story to tell about where we have come from and what Hell was unleashed against us. When we cherish sin in our hearts, He will let us continue knowing that we have a date with the judge. While we are alive, we have the ability to be freed from the stranglehold or let the problem linger as the serpent’s tail grows tighter around our heart leading us to our death. In death, there are no more chances, no more prayers, and no more hope. Those who come after us will either see a ray of hope or just another dismal failure the choice is up to us. My prayer is that today and through the Easter season you will choo the way of Calvary so that you will have a new lease on life for you and for your families.

Father,

Today is the time of your favor. In it we have the choice to follow your son or his brother. I pray for forgiveness over my nation and the world at large My hope for the nation I love is that it will come to its senses before it is too late. The Devil knows he has a short time to destroy before the battle turns against him so he is bringing as many people down as he can quite possibly do. Our word is on the precipice of war over ideals and because of it, we need you now more than ever. Daily Psalm for 3/19/2022

I have seen a wicked, ruthless man,
spreading himself like a green laurel tree.
But he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
though I sought him, he could not be found.
Mark the blameless and behold the upright,
for there is a future for the man of peace.
But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed;
the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD;
he is their stronghold in times of trouble.
The LORD helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him Psalms 37:35-40

The reference to the “Green Laurel Tree” is an aromatic bush that is cultivated for harvesting herbs to cook with so, it has a purpose ( Laurel Tree). When we see wickedness wherever we live, we have a choice to make, be one of them or be the difference. Everything, without exception, has an ending point somewhere along the way. When a nation is foolish, the decisions made by the leaders exemplify the input they have received; basically, “you asked for it, you got it”. So when those “decisions” come to fruition, we see the reasoning behind the decisions and that goes for the good and bad alike. That aside, our task from the Lord is, “Trust in the Lord no matter what you see, what we hear, and/or what we read. I encourage you today if you have not put your trust in the Lord that this is the season for your salvation that Easter is a new life for you and your family.

Father,

Thank you for the love, care, and support that you so graciously give. You desire above all things that we trust you in and out of the storms of life. Without you in our lives, these days would soon choke out any semblance of joy in our lives. May your good Spirit be with us as we prepare for Easter. I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that the leaders see what they are doing and what their plans will do once they act on them. I pray for those still negatively affected by COVID19 and Omicron. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 3/17/2022

The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom,
and his tongue speaks justice.
The law of his God is in his heart;
his steps do not slip.
The wicked watches for the righteous
and seeks to put him to death.
The LORD will not abandon him to his power
or let him be condemned when he is brought to trial.
Wait for the LORD and keep his way,
and he will exalt you to inherit the land;
you will look on when the wicked are cut off. Psalms 37:30-34

When you read this segment, you might think “Gee that’s beautiful G-d has it all in hand”, “I’m ready for the battle” and “no harm is going to come to me”. The thing is if it were possible to have a clear definition of what is “evil” and “what is good” and the two did not mix, going to battle would be easy. The problem is the two are not clearly defined and sometimes arguments arise between family members and even your closest church friends. Remember, Theology is the study of G-d and religious belief is a cornerstone of controversy among family and church groups. As long as everybody in your circle agrees there is no problem. Yet, let someone disagree and problems arise and I can personally testify to that. As we prepare for Easter, I challenge you to carefully review what you believe and why you believe it and then back it up with scripture and history.

Father,

Your deepest desire for your children is that they would have peace in the time of your favor which is, “today”. I know people are struggling on various levels across our world and that the Devil is doing his ultimate worst to divide, conquer, and destroy but Your son came that we might have peace and that more abundantly. I know that people are fearful of the future economically and socially. I pray for my world today that in your time you will break the back of Leviathan that people will know the true G-d. I do not pretend to be a Theological major nor do I want to dictate my thoughts to other people because everybody without exception must make their own choices. I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that they will resolve their issues and find a way towards peace that both sides can agree on. I pray for those who are negatively impacted by COVID 19 and Omicron. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 3/16/2022

I have been young, and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or his children begging for bread.
He is ever lending generously,
and his children become a blessing.
Turn away from evil and do good;
so shall you dwell forever?
For the LORD loves justice;
he will not forsake his saints.
They are preserved forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
The righteous shall inherit the land
and dwell upon it forever. Psalms 37:25-29

The Devil, although our common enemy, is not the biggest threat that we face today, it is needless “fear”, “Worry”, and “Anxiety” that compel us to do things we would not normally do. Consider how fear and worry compelled Saul to offer “sacrifice” which was only to be done by the priests. As you remember, this was the start of Saul’s problems that would end with his dismissal. It is for this reason that we are admonished to “banish fear …” which literally means to “remove its influence and its hold over our lives”. A Pastoral friend of mine once said to me, “don’t leave chains hanging from your life for the Devil to jerk on”. The thing is, the only way to keep chains from hanging from our life is to take care of business while it is in front of us so that we are not negatively impacted.

Father,

As Easter approaches and a time of “renewal”, help me today and every day to make it a good practice to take care of business while it is before me. The Devil knows me all too well and because of it knows the triggers to pull and how long to hold on to them. I know that you provide for all of our needs but somehow fear, worry, and doubt creep in. In those times, please help me to make a sound practice to remind the enemy who is in control and never lose faith in you. I pray for the people of Ukraine as they are dealing with war in the region. I pray for those who are dealing with the negative affects of COVID 19 and Omicron. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 3/15/2022

The wicked borrows but does not pay back,
but the righteous is generous and gives;
for those blessed by the LORD shall inherit the land,
but those cursed by him shall be cut off.
The steps of a man are established by the LORD
when he delights in his way;
though he falls, he shall not be cast headlong,
for the LORD upholds his hand. Psalms 37:21-24

The word “accountability” which means “being held responsible for our actions” is not popular in modern-day circles. The reason for this is, we are not allowed to get away with shoddy workmanship. In the Kingdom of G-d, accountability is at the root of our calling. The Lord holds us responsible for everything we do on earth and that includes our dealings with the world. The world, on the other hand, is fickle because it allows us to forget our covenants with everyone but the person we are speaking to. When our ways please the Lord, He makes even our enemies be at peace with us (Proverbs 16:7).

Father,

Please help me to daily honor my vows to you. You are not like the world, you do not make sign agreements, put up collateral, and/or say a million prayers, it is quite simply a “gentleman’s agreement” which is sealed with a handshake. Your greatest desire for us is that we would live a peaceful life that is not hindered by sin and that no matter what happens, we will not have a reason to be afraid. A good name is more important to you than all of the sacrifices for sin (Proverbs 22:1). Please forgive me for every time I have not honored my vows or I have not fulfilled everything you have asked of me. I pray for your help and guidance during this Lenten season to me prepare for a new life in you. I pray for the Ukrainians and Russians that they will make peace and find common grounds that peace will reign. I pray for those who are negatively impacted by the COVID 19 and its twisted sister Omicron.

Daily Psalm for 3/14/2022

Better is the little that the righteous has
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but the LORD upholds the righteous.
The LORD knows the days of the blameless,
and their heritage will remain forever;
they are not put to shame in evil times;
in the days of famine, they have abundance.
But the wicked will perish;
the enemies of the LORD are like the glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like smoke, they vanish away. Psalms 37:16-20

For a number of years now, we have heard the phrase “instant gratification” which means, “buy now pay later”. The problem with that thought process is, “what it does to our soul”. I’ve said before, the one thing we possess is our “integrity” if we give that away in our quest for wealth, we have lost everything and will never get it back. History and the news are replete with cases where people have sold their integrity for short-term gains. That said, “does G-d want us to be broke as church mice barely scrapping by”? The answer is, “no” but He does want us to use wisdom and approach life with our eyes forever upon him and let Him be our fear and dread.

Father,

Of all the things in this world, the one thing that cannot be bought and nor can it be manufactured is Peace that can only come from a righteous life. My son said years ago when I got my new motorcycle, “that should make you happy” and responded “things cannot make you happy” and they don’t. Things become nooses and nooses become pains that need to be gotten rid of. I pray in the remaining two weeks until Easter for your help to consider all the things in my life to see if my foundation is stable, and there is nothing stopping me from entering your Kingdom after I am gone. My desire is that my children will know the G-d I serve and that You are their hope and dread. I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia and now Poland. Lord, the enemy is pulling out all of the stops in his zeal to do as much damage as he can before his time is finished.  I pray for those who are negatively impacted by the COVID and its twisted sister Omicron. I pray for my families that you will be with each member and that this Easter will be a time of rejuvination as the grounds melt and planting time starts. Daily Psalm for 3/13/2022

In just a little while, the wicked will be no more;
though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there.
But the meek shall inherit the land
and delight themselves in abundant peace.
The wicked plots against the righteous
and gnashes his teeth at him,
but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he sees that his day is coming.
The wicked draw the sword and bend their bows
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose way is upright;
their sword shall enter their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken. Psalms 37:10-15

Dealing with wicked, boastful, arrogant, and violent people is very hard spiritually, mentally, and physically. These people pick nits about the character of the righteous person and people laugh at it because it’s not them and nor does it affect them. Yet, when it is us that the comedian is making fun of, we feel every stroke of their words and we believe that we are the ones that need to change. true opponent, the Devil, will incite us to take action against the offender. It is in those times that the still small voice of the Lord speaks “peace be still” and if we listen to it we will receive strength to stand our ground and pray for the person.

Father,

I know my shortcomings and I am not blind to my faults. Unfortunately, our common enemy the Devil plays both sides of the issue and finds pleasure in creating trouble for your creation. Whether or not I am liked in this world is of little consequence to me compared to the greater consequence of offending you. I pray Father for strength and courage that I may always be a source of encouragement to the people in this world. I pray for the people the Ukraine and Russia who are caught up in the present struggle for power. I know that you reign and that nothing in this world past, present, and future occur without your knowledge. I pray especially for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus that they will bind together despite disagreements over doctrine. Daily Psalm for 3/12/2022

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
For the evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. Psalms 37:7-9

I think how appropriate this snippet is with what is going on in the world today. The news channels talk about the troubles of the world, the war in the Ukraine, race wars, and political instability. G-d’s word admonishes us to trust Him even when we cannot see Him moving on our behalf. Because of this, the tendency is to take matters into our hands and it is with this that the Devil wins. Remember the Devil plays both sides in a battle and in arguments. As we move closer to Easter, I encourage you to take time each day to shut off the news, stay out of FaceBook, and take time with your family.

Father,

The Devil is a liar and his sole intention is to cause problems whenever and wherever he can. Our world is topsy-turvey Lord and we desperately need you. I pray for peace over my nation and my world. I especially pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that they may cease what they are doing and find common grounds. The Devil knows his time is short so he is causing as much mayhem as he can while it is in his power to do so. I pray for the people that have been knowingly or unknowingly under the Devil’s thumb that they may find freedom in you. Daily Psalm for 3/11/2022

Fret not yourself because of evildoers;
be not envious of wrongdoers!
For they will soon fade like the grass
and wither like the green herb.
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the LORD,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday. Psalms 37:1-6

Trusting in the Lord’s guidance when we are tempted is easier said than done. The minions of Hell are progenitors of their master’s experience in getting mankind to trip over temptation. We will never defeat the Devil at his game and nor will we outwit his minions. If we want this Easter to be the day and time that we are forever free of the addictions that hold us bound, we need to stand on the Lord’s side and cling to the cross. The reason people start at the cross and soon walk away is the dreaded words “obedience” and “faithfulness”. The Lord will fight the battles confronting us but He will never fight us for control over our lives. it is through love and faithfulness, sin is atoned for but by the fear of the Lord, one learns to walk to avoid sin (Proverbs 16:6).

Father,

Your greatest desire for our lives is that we would be free. Sin is a blight but it does not start out that way. In its inception, sin is fun and fulfilling. Our TV advertisements show all the latest gadgets that are owned by the well-to-do with the intention of getting people to buy their product. The Devil knows what we want because we probably told him all about it thinking we were talking to ourselves. To get us to act on temptation, he presents the situations that trip our triggers and get us to do the dirty work by telling us “you deserve this” and then we spend countless years regretting our decision. For this reason please help me to always keep my eyes on you and my ears open for your voice.  I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that You will call for cooler heads to resolve the difficulties. I pray for the military that is preparing once again for deployment. I pray for the people still dealing with COVID and its wicked sister. Daily Psalm for 3/10/2022

Blessed be the LORD,
for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me
when I was in a besieged city.
I had said in my alarm,
“I am cut off from your sight.”
But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy
when I cried to you for help.
Love the LORD, all you saints of the Lord!
The LORD preserves the faithful
but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the LORD! Psalms 31:21-24

There will always be times in our life when we cannot sense the presence of the Lord. In those times, our prayers seem to fall flat and the problems just grow exponentially. The thing is, when we feel like this it is very easy to become depressed and despondent. It is in these times that our faith is tested to see if we will trust although we cannot see, hear, or sense His presence. The proof of G-d’s presence is in His promise not in our feelings.

Father,

Thank you for your abiding promise. I know that life is full of problems, points where we are tripped up, and times when we feel alone. The Devil provides many examples to prove how alone we are because when we are alone, we are not a threat. Yet when we grab hold of your promises for our life, his prompting through the demons of Hell has no effect on us. I pray for my brothers and sisters in the Ukraine who are enduring battle conditions that you will be with them through these terrible times. As we prepare for Easter and the celebration of your son’s resurrection, help me today to study to show myself approved a workman who has no need for reproof. I pray for those who are dealing with illnesses and troubles in the home that you will be with them and help them through the storms. Daily Psalm for 3/8/2022

Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of the children of mankind!
In the cover of your presence, you hide them
from the plots of men;
you store them in your shelter
from the strife of tongues. Psalms 31:19-20

The Lord wants only the best for His children. His laws and precepts may seem to be arcane but when we make it through the storms of life, we see the value of those “arcane things”. we are called fools for listening to a G-d we cannot see but they are the same ones that flock to us in their hour of need. The hardest thing we will ever face is watching our family and peers ridicule and abandon us because we choose to march to a different drumbeat. We have at to our advantage a great cloud of witnesses who although dead professed faith in Jesus and were not abandoned (Hebrews 12:1).

Father,

The world has its ways and means. We are given a choice as to which drumbeat we will march to. Your laws, Psalms, and Proverbs are timeless and full of power and authority. As the Easter festival approaches, I pray that these laws, precepts, Psalms, and Proverbs be foundational to the pathway you are leading me on. I pray that this Easter is a time of renewal for your children and the birth of many more into your Kingdom. I pray that people will be encouraged in their walk with you through this web page. I pray especially for the people of Ukraine and surrounding nations as the Devil has started his attacks against your people. Lord, you have a purpose for this mess or it would never have gotten off of the ground before it was quashed. May the prayers of your saints always reach your ears and that you will act when it is time. Daily Psalm for 3/6/2022

Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love!
O LORD, let me not be put to shame,
for I call upon you;
let the wicked be put to shame;
let them go silently to Sheol.
Let the lying lips be mute,
which speak insolently against the righteous
in pride and contempt. Psalms 31:16-18

One of the harshest judgments one can receive is, “away from me because I don’t even know who you are” (Matthew 7:21-23). If the sum total of our service to the Lord is modeled after the Sanhedrin, we’re in for a big surprise and it won’t be fun. We can pray this prayer from sunup to sundown and still never touch the heart of G-d. We can say prayers over people that bring them to tears and still not have touched the heart of G-d. Obedience and faithfulness are “salvation 101” and are essential to our growth. When we are obedient and faithful, we can stumble over our words, say the wrong word, slaughter the English language, and still move the heart of G-d. The world has its ways but it is the Lord’s purposes that win the day.

Father,

You desire faithfulness in our inward parts because it is from that foundation that you build your church. May my heart ever be faithful to you even when all I see is the possibility of defeat. May I learn from Moses today Lord and may You always find me faithful. I pray for the Ukrainians who are fighting for their lives against Mother Russia. My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus are remaining faithful to you so I know that you will see them through whatever storms may come. I pray for my family today that you will watch over them wherever they may go. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. Daily Psalm for 3/5/2022

I have been forgotten like one who is dead; I have become like a broken vessel.
For I hear the whispering of many— terror on every side!— as they scheme together against me, as they plot to take my life.
But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors! Psalms 31:12-15

When we review scripture, it almost seems like everything happens in a short window of time. This misperception causes problems for us because it is in the dark times that start to doubt what we so firmly believe. When the storm clouds first gather we think, “This is no sweat” because we believe what we have been told. When the rain falls we think, “the skies are gray but He is the light of my life”. Then something tragic happens like the death of a loved one, the loss of income, and/or loss of property and we think, “Where is G-d?”. Read about Hezekiah’s life how he went from trusting in the Lord to taking the gold off of the temple to pay a ransom for the kingdom.  Know this, the Devil knows everything about us including our deepest fears and knows how long to hold us to the fire and what it will take to break our faith. For this reason, we need to carefully review the condition of our hearts to see if we are indeed ready for battle.

Father,

we are in charge of our life, our choices, and the attitude of our hearts. For this reason, help me today and every day to take a hard look at my life which includes the foundation, the product used to build the home, and the workmen I allow in to help me. Because the Devi is a roaring lion, help me to always take stock of the arsenal I possess. The world leaders cause problems for the world with the intention is to get us to lose faith in you. As we prepare for Easter and the Passover, I pray for your peace in this world. Please help me today to take Habakuk’s words to heart (Habakuk 3:17-19). Be with my brothers and sisters Christ Jesus in Ukraine and across Europe. Please work on Putin’s heart and help him to see what he is doing and where it will lead. Daily Psalm for 3/3/2022

Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;
my eye is wasted from grief;
my soul and my body also.
For my life is spent with sorrow,
and my years with sighing;
my strength fails because of my iniquity,
and my bones waste away. Psalms 31:9-10

Life, to me anyway, is like a game of Monopoly. Each of us starts off with a fresh board, money in our hands, and Heaven as the finish line. In the beginning, we do not envision ourselves falling into David’s traps nor ever turning our back on the Lord like Peter. Then, a chance card turns up telling us about a disaster that will occur costing us time and money. Those “chances” create problems in our life and from those problems we make bad decisions. The Lord has great plans for our lives and will accomplish them only with our obedience and faithfulness. When we run away in the face of adversity like Naomi and Elimelech did, we tell the Lord “You don’t have the power to get us through ___ so we’ll take our chances elsewhere”. The problem is, we don’t know the Lord’s plans, we just know what we are going through is miserable. That said, it does not justify sin it explains how we got where we are.

Father,

The greatest struggle of mankind is not the Devil and nor is it temptation. The greatest struggle is our thought process. It is one variable that gets us into further trouble and keeps us from the cross. Naomi and Elimelech did not plan for their family to be decimated and Naomi to return a bitter woman, it all started with their reasoning for leaving Jerusalem for a time. Lord, please help me today and every day of my life to carefully consider my choices and not allow myself to act on the Devil’s enticement. Please watch over my family today and guide them to wherever they are going to and back home again. Be with the Ukrainians who are fighting for their right to freedom. The power of mighty Russia is no match for the power of the Lord G-d.
