Rex Allen – Reflections of Christmas

For to us a Child shall be born, to us a Son shall be given;
And the government shall be upon His shoulder,
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

The purpose of his coming was greater than his birth story. Blind Bartimaeus saw Jesus as being more beautiful than Jesus’  physical form because Bartimaeus lived a hard life.  What Jesus did for Legend () was more wonderful than could be imagined. The real story of Christmas was not Jesus’s infanthood but what he came to do. Jesus became earthly so that he could feel what we feel, hear what we hear, and see what we see so that he could experience life at the level we do. Jesus put off his diety to do that there had to be a starting place.

Jesus wasn’t born as a grown man. He was born as a king and savior. He was much a savior as he was the day on the cross (I need the bible reference). Jesus Christ was the 3rd part of the G-d head. He was everything he needed to be the day in his cradle (Luke 2:8-20). Simeon the prophet met the trio he knew immediately that Jesus was the savior (Luke 2:22-38). Christmas is a time of freedom, joy, and peace. It is our time to grow up in Jesus (Luke 2:52).

If we are to grow in the same fashion that Jesus did we must grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with G-d and people. We are to teach and disciple. Are you a child of G-d or just one that came to the stable for the show or are we wanting to go because we want to grow up in him? Not everyone who showed up was there to worship Jesus, Herod sent men to kill Jesus (Jeremiah 31:15).

When Jesus was born, he was in it for the long hall. Are you in it for the long hall or are you there for a show? A lot of people stop by the barn to see Jesus but not to be impacted. Many come to church but leave as empty as they came. Some come to see their child or grandchild in a cantata. This is a tragedy because lives are lost to death never knowing about Jesus much less accepting him into their hearts.

Sometimes we get so busy that Christmas holds no meaning. As you spend time with your children put Jesus in the middle. Be an Evangelist for Christ. When Jesus’ gift to us isn’t what we expected or someone died, or a new family is given be happy and blessed. G-d has given you a gift of peace, knowledge, and hope for the future but many have not accepted it. Living in the faithful manner that we are given is our gift back to Jesus. Let this Christmas be different. For those who accepted the gift, it is time to step up to live a full Christian life and pass that gift to someone else.

All good and perfect gifts come from the Lord (James 1:17).

Your Unstoppable Future Part 3

Goal Wakeup Call for the Church and Christians

Every one of us has at least one area that we need a breakthrough

We all need a breakthrough in our finances (Lesson 2).

If our tree is not fruitful, it needs to be. One of a few things is true, you are living off someone else’s tree, you are eating a poor substitute, or you have become so used to living on dried-up fruit that you do not know any other way of living. Where ever we are in life, G-d comes to you in the need of your struggle and that is where the G-d of the impossible becomes possible. For G-d to make things possible in our life, Jesus needs to be our all-in-all or “my everything.”

Point 1 – Need for a breakthrough. Every one of us has an Achilles heel or the one or more pieces of chain that the Devil jerks; for David and Solomon it was “women” for Paul it was an unknown thorn (2 Corinthians 12:6-7). No one is so spiritual, full of the Holy Spirit, that does not have at least one area where he/she struggles. If we say “I have no broken area”, I am deceiving myself (1 John 1:8). What the Devil calls “broken” is/are the area(s) where G-d does His greatest work.

The fruit of spiritual scarring will diminish our joy, laughter will cease to exist, and/or peace will be a lost commodity like the case of the Israelites after being exiled to Babylon (Jeremiah 7:34). Some people are where they are because of their decisions (David looking back on his failures) others are where they are because of someone else’s decisions; either way, sin is not justifiable in G-d’s eyes and it will not be blessed. When we are hurt by others and we are unable to get past the wound from the individual, it will continue to haunt us and torment us. G-d is my refuge and strength in my time of trouble (Psalms 46:1-2). G-d has never stopped loving us no matter what we have gone through, are going through, and/or will go through. G-d uses broken vessels even when the wounds are self-inflicted regardless of who inflicted them like the case of Gideon (Judges 6). Each of us will be in the place where we think our past is behind us only for it to blindside us when we least expect it like the case of David and Amnon (2 Samuel 13). The Devil uses these personal areas of pain to bring us down like the case of David and the unauthorized census (2 Samuel 24).

Point 2 – Tormenting spirits resurrect the painful emotions regardless of how close you are to the Lord; We are emotional creatures because G-d is an emotional being (Exodus 32:13-14); when we allow our emotions to control us, they will bury us. The Devil hits us at our weakest most emotional spot which is what happened in the closing days of David’s life. Until we are out of this sinful body, we are susceptible to following our emotions. Word of Hope: the times we are in the deepest pits of our life if we give the Lord a chance to deliver us (Galatians 2:20). If we do not deal with the broken areas of our life, they will come back in our dreams, thoughts, and repeated situations; don’t hide them, deal with them. Tormenting spirits will bring up our past failures and mistakes to mind and they will continue to do it until these things no longer elicit a response. When he does, we need to remind him that even though the scars remain, the bloodguilt is covered by the blood (James 4:7).

“Recycled Grief” – recycling the guilt, fear, anger, unforgiveness, and/or bitterness “The perpetual Treadmill”. Even though the sins of our life were dealt with at Calvary, until we confess them, repent of them, and take strides past the cross, those sins will continue to haunt us. So, either we break through the mess or it will be the gallows that we will hang from. For Judas, it was the 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 27:3-5) for Gehazi it was the clothes and silver Elijah refused (2 Kings 5:20-27).

Notes from part 3 of Dr. Rex Allen’s Teaching

An Unstoppable Future in Christ Jesus.

Anything good comes from the Lord (James 1:17). To claim your unstoppable future, anointing, speak to the promises in Christ, you must first accept him into your life. If you don’t invite Jesus into your life, you won’t receive the blessings unless you repent and ask for forgiveness. His will must dominate your life. Christ cannot do anything through you until he has done something in you and owns you. You didn’t sign a contract when you come to Christ. The contract you work for him, he doesn’t work for you. He is there when you fall, hold you in his arms when you are hurting, broken, and have needs. For anything to work for you, his blood must flow through your life. We are called to be “co-laborers” in all things, he must be in control (1 Cor 3:9). The exact same promises, destinies, and direction spoken through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are spoken to us. The more the people grow in the Lord, the more they grow in faith and strengthened through the storms. G_d is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). The trick is that you must live your life in such a way as to please the Lord. By seeking his will, His promises gravitate towards us and the G_d, and you will see the G_d of the “Suddenlies”  (James 4:7-8).

Before you were ever a physical breathing entity, you were thought and direction in the eyes of G_d (Jeremiah 1:5). We are a full product after being done in the Spiritual realm. This will be the generation that sees the coming of the Lord? We have the ability to no other generation has had and that is to be able to reach the loss. If you are struggling within your spirit with who you are, what you are doing in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 45:11 – sons and daughters of G_d. G_d never gets the glory for anything unless it was foretold or prophesied. “I want my people to live under a covenant blessing, a covenant of healing, and a covenant of wholeness” (Matthew 11:28). There is no place Jesus cannot get to heal you if you draw close to him instead of running away (Amos 3:3). You will live an unfulfilled life if you do not release the things that bind you and seek the Lord with all of your heart (). Through the triad, a connection is made and He answers the call. If He calls and you do not answer Him, you will miss it and not know the extent of it (Revelations 3:20-21, John 4:9-14). When we have a conversation with the Lord, it is almost always about a need in our life that supersedes physical needs. Personal add to that note: when we begin praying about the physical need, hurt, or pain in our life, it will be a springboard into the spiritual need. For example, if I am praying about the mean individual who is threatening my life, Jesus will turn that around so the prayer will be effective consider the case of Paul in light of the events that occurred at Stephen’s kangaroo court (Acts 8).

We treat the Lord like he is a vending machine that spits out the requested item after the coins have been rendered. A vending machine does not care how much you purchase from the machine and nor does it care how much weight is gained. For example, buying a diet coke after eating three fruit pies, Unfortunately, is only an illusion and a trap to get people to walk away from the Lord. If you are where you need to be in Jesus, then you should not be thirsting for the things of this life. Matthew 5:6 – Blessed are those whose hunger and thirst shall be filled. The word thirst means “people who want righteousness in their life will be filled”.

The unmet physical needs almost always are at the root of the things we do. It is the nature of our carnality to feel needed, cared for, physical needs met. When you pervert those needs, you have brought a great curse upon your life. It is sin that addresses the needs and desires of our hearts from a perverted standpoint. When sin takes over, you lose control and that is by design (Matthew 6:24). The flesh must be crucified and it must be given to Jesus Christ (Galatians 5:24, Romans 8:13-14). The more you give to Jesus the more you will want to live for him and the things of this world will hold no control over you. To thirst after righteousness means, you desire to live for Him and is will. Our spiritual condition will always be reflected in our physical actions. The worst the spiritual and the most tragic your life will be.  Personal note: The G_d of the Universe will never lay out the plan of our life in its entirety so when we walk away from the Lord, we forfeit the blessings that would have been ours if we had kept the faith. The struggles we face indeed have a purpose and if we can just hold on one more day, one more hour, and not lose faith in our Lord, He will light the way for us. In Paul’s closing letter to Pastor Timothy, Paul has spoken fervently, wholeheartedly about the struggles he was facing not to boast about his prowess for dealing with pain but to remind them that the same G_d who called them will be the same G_d who hold them (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

My prayer for encouragement

May your grace surround my brothers and sisters especially Rex, Ron, and many others who are enduring severe medical issues. I know that we are not immune from medical issues nor having our work ripped up but, if we can just hold on for one more day, one more hour, and one more minute, we will see G_d’s plan unfold for our life’s mission. You have amazing plans for our lives and you give us all that we need so that we can effectively and efficiently minister to others. Thank you for everything that you do in our life.
